A doctorate in biochemistry means the enzyme chemistry behind DMK is her field, not a training module.

Why DMK is not a facial

DMK is a paramedical skin-revision system built around enzyme therapy, skin function and structured protocols. Founded in 1970 by biochemist Danné Montague-King and used in more than 30 countries, its enzyme therapy went globally viral when Kim Kardashian posted her treatment in 2018 — Hollywood’s famous “zombie facial”. At Peonella, your programme is selected and adjusted by Liudmyla, our PhD biochemist, DMK medical adviser and DMK MD Advanced practitioner. The price reflects the assessment, personalisation and clinical delivery, not just the time in the room.

Everything you need to know before booking

What's the difference between the facials?

The Peonella Glow (60 min) is the entry point: a full DMK enzyme treatment with no downtime. The Peonella Signature (90 min) adds a deeper prescriptive layer and is customised every visit. Clear Skin, Even Tone and Calm Skin are targeted programmes for acne, pigmentation and redness, and the Transformation is a consultation-led bespoke plan. Your consultation decides which one fits your skin.

How long until I see results?

The Peonella Glow delivers an immediate glow. Chemical peels and microneedling build results over 2–4 weeks as skin regenerates. A 2- or 3-session course delivers significant long-term improvement.

Is there any downtime?

Facials have zero downtime — a lunchtime treatment. Superficial peels may cause light flaking for 2–3 days. Microneedling causes redness for 24–48 hours. We'll advise you fully at consultation.

Can I combine treatments?

Yes — our Signature Facial pairs well with microneedling, which can be sequenced with DMK programmes. Many clients book laser hair removal and a facial in the same visit.

Are these treatments suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes — all our treatments are adapted to your skin type at each visit. We carry medical-grade products suited to sensitive and reactive skin. If in doubt, book a consultation and we'll advise the right starting point.
